Nathan joins Bedford Town on loan

Boreham Wood Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore has joined Enterprise National League North outfit Bedford Town on loan until the end of the season with a 24-hour recall.

Having made the move to Hertfordshire in 2019, initially on loan before making it a permanent switch a year later, the 35-year-old ‘keeper has asserted himself as a fan favourite after making over 150 appearances and playing a pivotal role in last season’s promotion.

After a slight decrease in playing time between the sticks at Meadow Park, Ashmore joins the Eagles who currently sit in 22nd place and three points from safety following their promotion from the Isthmian Premier Central Division last term.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Nathan the best of luck during his time in Bedfordshire, as he reunites with former Wood number 10 Tyrone Marsh at the New Eyrie.
